The Industrial Maintenance Mechanics program prepares students with the skills and experience necessary to enter the workforce as an entry-level mechanic in an industrial facility. Students will learn multiple disciplines which include machining, pipefitting, mechanical, welding and electricity. Industrial maintenance mechanics maintain and repair a variety of equipment used in many different plants such as steel mills, oil refineries, power plants, and food and beverage industries. Because factories and other facilities cannot afford to have machinery out of service for long periods, industrial maintenance mechanics are there to keep the equipment maintained and running.
