Begin YOUR career in PMT

The Southwestern Illinois College Precision Machining Technology (PMT) program trains students with the skills and experience necessary to enter a variety of machining jobs at an apprentice level.

Students will receive training to safely set up and operate machine shop equipment such as lathes, mills, drill presses, grinders and computer numerical control (CNC) machines for business and industry.

In addition, they will learn computer software programs to design parts and create programs used on CNC machines. Certifications are also available.
