Adult Education and Literacy
Pathways to Empowerment Through Life-long Learning
The Adult Education and Literacy department at SWIC provides FREE instruction and programs specifically for individuals:
- Aged 16 or above
- Not currently enrolled in high school
- Lacking a high school diploma or its equivalent GED/HSE credential
- Wishing to obtain a State of Illinois High School Diploma (formerly GED/HSE)
- Desiring to earn a certificate in a vocational or trade program
- Facing difficulty speaking, reading, or writing in English.
Adult Education and Literacy instruction is available at the following campuses:
- Belleville Campus
- Sam Wolf Granite City Campus
- Red Bud Campus
- East St. Louis Wyvetter Younge Campus
