“I wanted to show that some people have chronic conditions that the bare eye can’t see. I have been doing art ever since I could remember. While being at SWIC I am looking forward to figuring out what I want to do with my life. I am also looking forward to taking different types of classes to see what I enjoy doing.”
“The idea for my art just came to me one day. I have always liked to draw, even when I was a kid. The thing I like most about SWIC is that you can take classes online. I’m looking forward to getting my certificate.“
“I came up with this idea because of my last charcoal drawing. I had a fun time doing it, but I did not like the image I did. So I decided to change that. I took a photo I can look at daily! I have been doing art for 7 years. I love to do new things. Especially painting monochromatics. I just started to practice tattooing as well. I enjoy opening up your own world of beauty, and making it a masterpiece.“
“This was a run cycle I did of my friend’s dragon OC. I created this by drawing each frame in Krita. The final animation is 9 frames played at 12 fps (frames per second).”
“I have had these characters in my head for years and I had never gotten around to a fully paged graphic novel or animation. For me this is part of a small vision I had for a while for these characters and their world. I hope you like it!”

“This image has been changed from a simplistic photo of garden flowers to create a piece of art to hang. The editing was taken place in Adobe Photoshop Mobile & Lightroom Mobile. Let your imagination take control. Encaustic Elegance.”
“While in quarantine, I have been creating my duct tape prom dress while watching tons of broadway shows on YouTube and Netflix shows! I came up with the idea to make my dress due to the impact the coronavirus had on the world.
It was originally for the Stuck At Prom scholarship contest held by the duct tape company Duck Brand. This is the first time I have made a wardrobe out of duct tape as well as artwork, however, I remember making duct tape wallets and flowers when I was 10 years old.
This is my first year at SWIC but I wish I was able to experience the school in person this year, but I am looking forward to it next year. From what I have experienced already, the teachers seem amazing and are always ready to help when it is needed!” – Manker
“This piece was a commission of a friend’s dog done in April of this year. I’ve been doing art for as long as I remember and took art classes from ages 11 to 16 at Hall of Frames.
I enjoy drawing and clay sculpting, and have attempted painting, but my favorite medium is using pastels.
I have taken two classes at SWIC learning about the history of art and art of different cultures and have enjoyed both of them, and I would like to take classes in the future to learn how to create different types of art.”
