ACTIVITY SCHOLARSHIPS
Students attending Southwestern Illinois College (SWIC) who are active in college activities can be eligible for Activity Scholarships.
If you are a full-time SWIC student and are involved in any of the following activities, you may be eligible for a tuition scholarship for up to 2 semesters.
Activity Scholarship Opportunities
The scholarships are available for the following college activities:
- Activities Programming
- Newspaper/Publications
- Three-Act-Play
- Art
- Stage Band
- Phi Theta Kappa
- Choir/Music
- Technical Theater
- Performing Arts
Activity Scholarship Requirements
Activity Scholarships pay tuition for up to one academic year (two continuous semesters). Students are required to complete the FAFSA, complete a Tuition Scholarship Award Application.
Students who are awarded any of the above activity scholarships must meet all of the following criteria:
- Maintain eligibility according to the financial aid satisfactory academic progress requirements as explained in the handbook.
- Enroll full-time (minimum 12 hours) and complete 67 percent of hours attempted each semester with a GPA of 2.0.
- Perform the duties defined by your Activities scholarship sponsor.
