What is SWIC-o-ween?
SWIC-o-ween is an online virtual way to celebrate this Halloween Season hosted by Southwestern Illinois College.
We hope you enjoy the Halloween events we have planned and have a great time!

Students are welcome to enter one or all of the contests. Story and Art Board are not contests however allow you to display your work and only Students can submit to have their work displayed.
Join us for our annual Trunk or Treat! Listen, dance, or sing along to spooky music, watch spooky movies, take a picture in your best costume at the Wicked Costume party for a chance to win prizes (PRIZES – MUST BE STUDENT TO SUBMIT). Draw a Halloween picture, color one of our Halloween themed coloring pages in the EEK-taskic Art Board to have your work published on the public website (NO PRIZES – MUST BE STUDENT TO SUBMIT). Share your own in the Spooky/Scary Storytelling to have your story published on the public website (NO PRIZES – MUST BE STUDENT TO SUBMIT), decorate or carve a pumpkin at PUMPKIN-fest for a chance to win spooky prizes (PRIZES – MUST BE STUDENT TO SUBMIT), Find the hidden pumpkin during our Enrollment Spooktacular, visit the Success Center for a chance to win prizes and for the community check out Beyond SWIC-o-ween and the Art coloring sheets for fun activities to do at home this Halloween season.
You can enter any or all of the contests as well as activities by selecting the contest on the “Enter a Contest” page however you must be a student to participate in most of the activities and contests.

Enrollment Spooktacular and Beyond SWIC-o-ween are open to everyone.

How do I participate?

Visit the Success Center for a chance to win a Chick-fil-A sandwich or large candy bars!
Each time you visit the Success center you get a ticket into the drawing for a Chick-fil-A sandwich or a large candy bar!
Winners will be notified by email or phone by November 2nd.

Find the Pumpkin
First to find/submit where they find a specific pumpkin and first to find/submit all 3 specific pumpkins will receive an additional prize. Visit Enrollment Spooktacular for more information.
Judging
Judging
There will be a team of 4-6 impartial student, faculty and/or staff judges.
The scale will be on a 1-10 rating.
Wicked Costume Party Contest
- Contestants will be judged on 5 criteria: Creativity, Originality, Effort, Authenticity and Presentation
- Awards will be given for the First Place in each category (Funniest, Scariest/Spookiest and Most Original).
Pumpkin-fest
- Contestants will be judged on 5 criteria: Creativity, Design Originality, Effort, Difficulty, Presentation
- Awards will be given for the First Place in each category (Carved and Uncarved).
